Grangemouth was opened in 1974 making it one of the youngest in Scotland. Since then the course has hosted numerous PGA events.
The course is a 6400 yard, 18-hole Parkland Course with an adjoining Practice Area. It's located on gently sloping terrain, bounded on the West side by Polmont Woods.
The past few years has seen the club embark on a journey from closure to privately ran by the newly established board of trustees. The newly formed Grangemouth Golf Club (SCIO) took full control from Falkirk council in November 2023.
