Grangemouth Golf Club officially launched the new season with a well-supported and enjoyable 2 Ball Scramble, setting the tone for what promises to be another fantastic year at the club. With a strong turnout and competitive spirit throughout the field, players embraced the format and produced some excellent scoring. Competition Results 1st Place: Alan Brown & Paul O’Connor – 42 points 2nd Place: Robert Marshall & Derek Pudney – 41 points 3rd Place: Jason McKinlay & Richard Crosbie – 41 points Congratulations to all the prize winners and thanks to everyone who took part in making the opening event such a success. A Great Start On and Off the Course Events like this don’t happen without the effort behind the scenes. A big thank you goes to Max in the Pro Shop for organising and managing the competition, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Players were also well looked after after their rounds, with thanks to Karen at The Whole in One for providing rolls that went down a treat after a day on the course. Special recognition must go to Callum and his team, who have put in a huge effort to get the course back into shape following a spell of difficult weather. Their work is already showing, with conditions improving day by day. Looking Ahead The course continues to improve week by week as we move into the season, and it’s fantastic to see members back out enjoying their golf. With a full calendar of competitions and events ahead, there’s plenty to look forward to at Grangemouth Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you on the course.

Club Update from the Board We’d like to share a few important updates with members. Professional & Management Update David Lee has now left Grangemouth Golf Club and has taken up the role of Head Professional at Shotts Golf Club. Since joining the club in 2021, David has provided valuable support to the Board, initially as Club Professional and later as General Manager. During his time with Grangemouth Golf Club, David was heavily involved in golf operations, junior coaching, shop development, and the implementation of the Scottish Golf systems that continue to support the club’s progress. The Board would like to thank David for his commitment and contribution. To ensure continuity, David has been invited to remain involved as a co-opted member of the Board in a voluntary capacity. He has accepted this role, and we look forward to continuing to work with him where his experience and support are needed. Open Competitions Now Live The Gents Open and Senior Opens are now live on the website. Members can book their preferred tee times via the club app. Early booking is recommended to secure your ideal slot. Pro Shop Update There are currently sale items available in the pro shop. Members are encouraged to pop in and have a look — there may be some great bargains available.
